Affordable quality Thai on the Westside is not easy to find. If you're looking for a super upscale dining experience, you're not going to find it, but we absolutely love ordering from here! One of my family members has a food sensitivity, and Poom Thai goes out of their way to explain what can or cannot be altered. Portions are great. Food is so comforting. Can't ask for more :)

Family run & owned business. I watched the son grow up here, taking toddler naps & now, after graduating college he's running the place! Consistently tasty food. I like the pot Thai & lemongrass soup.

Poom's Thai Kitchen was one of the only things open past 10pm and let me just say, it did NOT let down a hangry, empty stomach. Walking in, we were greeted by Poom himself who is so endearing and welcoming. The atmosphere is super homey and constantly exciting to look at from all the names on the wall, to the antiques, and green plants! First, the thai tea was so authentic and perfectly sweetened in a perfect portion. As for food, we got the fried wontons, pad see ew, pad thai, and pad kee mao. The wontons were super crispy and the meat inside was delicious! Addicting to be honest... Not bland and seasoned to perfection/super flavorful. As for the noodles, the pad see ew and pad thai was a CLASSIC 10/10 probably one of the best I've ever had packed with flavor and aroma. This was my first time trying pad kee mao and it did NOT let down. Also a 10/10, just slightly on the more spicy side. Overall, Poom's Thai Kitchen satisfied all my cravings and warmed my soul. Prices are super reasonable too with big portions! ( we had a second meal to take home!!!) Great people and great small business. I would 101% come back and will be recommending to all friends going to SM!!

We've been ordering from Poom Thai for over 10 years now. The food has always been consistently good. It's a casual, family restaurant. The owners are sweet and you can see the staff are all hardworking. We've tried many items on the menu over the years and they're all delicious. Every order, we'll always make sure we have the beef pad see ew and chicken green curry, in addition to other dishes. The prices are very reasonable, especially in Santa Monica. I highly recommend it.

The food is always awesome. Consistency makes it most enjoyable. The service is always friendly the make you like family.

DELICIOUS!!! It is beautiful inside, lots of very well taken care of plants. The owner was very kind, and attentive to our table. I got the tom kah soup, and it is easily the best I've ever had. The thai tea here is amazing too, get it with the coconut cream!! Food, service, and ambiance were amazing. Will definitely come back again if I am ever in the area :)

I'm all about the Poom Thai! When I'm really hungry, I go for the curry noodles which are delicious and on a cold evening, the Tom Kha soup is the bomb and very comforting. The young man handling orders is kind and always takes the time to take care of us and chat if he can. Plus, I love all the vines and plants inside! Great Thai food in SM.
